A backup you’ve never restored is a hope, not a backup.
BackupRidge proves its restores. Founders get Pro for life for one payment — $59 for 3 sites or $149 for 25 — and only 100 founder licences will ever be sold. After November 2, 2026, Pro reverts to annual pricing and founder pricing will never be offered again — any future lifetime deal will cost more, making this the best lifetime deal we will ever offer.
One payment, ever · Lifetime updates & support for every future version · 14-day no-questions refund · GPL — the plugin keeps working no matter what happens to us
Proof, not promises
Every release gets a real drill: back up a live WordPress site, wipe it, restore it, and verify the content came back intact. Results — date, destination, duration, pass or fail for every run — are published at the public restore log, never edited after the fact.
Built by one engineer who tests his backups
TECH
Hi, I’m Tor
Day job: I help keep critical national infrastructure monitored and running. In that world, “we probably have a backup” isn’t a sentence anyone gets to say — you verify, you test the restore, and you plan backwards from the assumption that the failure will happen.
Then I looked at the WordPress backup market and found the opposite philosophy: plugins that nag weekly and hold your restore hostage. So I built the plugin I wanted to exist — boring, in the best sense of the word. It backs up, it restores, it stays out of your way.
BackupRidge is a one-person shop out of Karmøy, Norway. Email support and you get the person who wrote the code.
Three promises, kept in the code
Restore is never behind a paywall
The free plugin backs up and restores. Fully. That’s not a trial — that’s the point. If your site is on fire, you should not be reading a pricing page.
Your backups live where you decide
Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2. Your storage, your account, your data. BackupRidge never stores your files on our servers — mostly because there are no “our servers.”
No nagging. Ever.
One notice after your first successful backup. Dismiss it and you’ll never hear from it inside your admin again.
Pick your founder licence — Founder Agency is pre-selected. Lifetime means lifetime updates and support for every future version of Pro, in plain language, no tricks — see the Terms of Lifetime. After November 2, 2026, pricing reverts to annual — this exact deal will not return.
